News 20/10/2026 In Bukhara, teacher salaries are rising thanks to certificates and allowances

In Bukhara region, 18 025 teachers hold international or national certificates. According to the O‘zbekiston 24 TV channel, 2 105 of them earn 1000 dollars or more per month.

The report notes that teachers reach these levels through self-development, obtaining international certificates, passing attestation to raise their qualification category, and receiving allowances of up to 70 percent. As a result, some teachers’ salaries have reached 15–17 million soums.

Gijduvan district is given as an example. Of its 4 568 teachers, 250 now earn more than 1000 dollars. A mathematics teacher at School No. 67 in the district has raised her monthly income to 30 million soums (about 3000 dollars).

In his Teacher’s Day greeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that more than 40 000 teachers earn over 1000 dollars a month, and 1 500 of them earn over 2 000 dollars. On the eve of Teacher and Mentor Day, the head of state also announced new benefits and initiatives to support educators.

What the new rules include

  • Teachers with a national certificate in mathematics, physics, chemistry or biology will receive a 50 percent allowance. Each year, 208 leading teachers from districts and cities will receive a one-time bonus of 30 million soums.
  • Teachers who obtain certificates may complete internships abroad, and their exam costs will be fully covered.
  • Children of teachers with at least 15 years of work experience will receive interest-free loans to study at a higher education institution.
  • Teachers who prepared winners of international and regional olympiads will be directly awarded the highest qualification category.

Certificates, attestation and allowances clearly play a key role in teacher income. Since the source reports salary figures inconsistently, it is advisable to check the exact conditions in official documents.
