History

The head university, M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University, was founded in 1943 in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. A decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 406 dated 10 July 2024 provided for the establishment of the branch in Chirchiq. The branch operates as a structural unit of the university with the status of a legal entity. Educational activity is permitted after the branch obtains a license in the established manner. The announcement of the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan dated 22 August 2024 lists the branch as a branch of a foreign higher education institution.

Faculties and Programs

The branch plans the following training areas:

• bachelor's degree programs and master's degree specialties (a detailed list of programs was not found in the sources);
• training of specialists for economic sectors (planned according to a 2023 announcement);
• training of students in 18 educational programs planned for 2024.
