Final certification is mandatory for school graduates after fully mastering general secondary education programs.
The final certification of school graduates' knowledge, qualifications, and skills is conducted at the end of the academic year based on the current curriculum for each subject, using written, oral, or test methods.
Graduates who have mastered educational programs at the level of state educational standards and received positive grades in academic subjects at the end of the year, or an unsatisfactory grade in one academic subject, are admitted to the final attestation based on the decision of the school's pedagogical council.
According to the Regulation "On the Final State Attestation of Students in General Secondary Education," approved by Order No. 56 of the Minister of Public Education dated March 4, 2008, graduates who received an unsatisfactory grade in one or two subjects during the final attestation are granted the right to retake the final attestation in the subject with the unsatisfactory grade two weeks after the last final attestation.
Graduates who, based on the results of the annual grade and final attestation, do not meet the requirements of the state educational standards for general secondary education and receive an "unsatisfactory" grade may be retained to repeat the same class.
