According to the minutes No. 62 of the Terminology Commission meeting under the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 30, 2025, a list of new words and terms formed based on the rules and norms of the Uzbek language and to be introduced into official use has been approved, UzA reported.

The Concept for the Development of the Uzbek Language and Improvement of Language Policy for 2020-2030, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-6084 dated October 20, 2020 "On measures for further development of the Uzbek language and improvement of language policy in the country," defined the task of regularly introducing scientifically based new words and terms into official use.

To ensure its implementation, Protocol No. 62 of the meeting of the Terminology Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted. According to this protocol, 40 foreign terms used in the Uzbek language were replaced with their Uzbek equivalents.

In this process, the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan worked in cooperation with the Department for the Development of the State Language under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and foreign terms were also discussed in the expert group of this department.

It is noted that when determining the national equivalents of 40 foreign terms that need to be replaced, linguists from the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan regularly communicated with representatives of the relevant fields. Additionally, foreign terms were widely discussed in the media and social networks, and the suggestions of compatriots who care about the fate of our language were taken into account.
