The Government Resolution (No. 181 dated 02.05.2023) approved the REGULATION on the procedure for financing the costs of purchasing food, clothing, and sanitary products for orphan students and those deprived of parental care or guardianship of other legal representatives studying in non-governmental higher educational institutions.

According to it:

Higher education institutions - annually, by September 15, calculate the number of students eligible to receive social welfare assistance funds in the current academic year, as well as the amount of social welfare assistance funds to be paid to them, and submit a request to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation for the allocation of necessary funds from the budget;

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation - annually, by October 1, based on the requests submitted by the institutions, transfers the full amount of funds allocated for social welfare assistance payments for the current academic year to their accounts.

Social welfare assistance is paid from the state budget regardless of whether students are studying on a state grant or on a paid-contract basis.
