What is taught in this field

The Agronomy program provides in-depth knowledge of growing agricultural crops, protecting them, and maintaining soil fertility. Students study the fundamentals of plant physiology, soil science, genetics and breeding, plant protection, irrigation, and land reclamation.

Theoretical lectures are combined with practical classes, field experiments, and laboratory work. This allows students to observe and apply crop cultivation technologies firsthand.

• Protection and irrigation: fighting plant diseases and pests, irrigation systems
• Skills: planning and conducting field trials, analyzing data, using modern agrotechnologies

Who will graduates become

Graduates can work in agriculture as agronomists, crop production specialists, technicians at experimental fields, and specialists in soil and plant protection. Many later become chief agronomists on farms or research staff.

Those who choose a scientific path can continue through master’s and doctoral studies and become researchers, lecturers, or staff members of research institutes.
