Instrumental Performance: String Instruments

What is taught in this program

This program is offered at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and its Nukus branch. Students develop solo performance skills on their chosen string instrument. The main focus is on playing technique, tone production and stage discipline. At the same time, students build teamwork skills through ensemble and orchestra classes.

Theoretical subjects include music theory, harmony, solfeggio, music history and folk music. Students regularly practice sight-reading, analysis of musical works and ear training.

Who the graduate becomes

Graduates can work as solo performers, members of chamber ensembles or orchestras, concertmasters and accompanists. They can also teach music in children's music schools, colleges and higher education institutions.
