Religious Studies

What is taught in this program

The Religious Studies program is taught at the Uzbekistan International Islamic Academy. It provides an in-depth study of the history of world religions, their teachings, and their influence on culture. Core subjects include the history of Islam, the foundations of the Holy Quran and hadith sciences, questions of creed and jurisprudence, the history of religions and comparative religious studies, as well as the philosophy and sociology of religion. Students learn Arabic and develop skills for working with primary sources.

Education combines theoretical knowledge with the development of analytical thinking, scientific research skills, lecturing and discussion, as well as the ability to communicate respectfully across different cultures and faiths.

Graduates can work as religious studies specialists in research, education, and public enlightenment. They are prepared for positions such as:
