What is taught in this program

In the Spanish philology program, students study the Spanish language in depth with a practical focus: grammar, vocabulary, speaking practice, and written and oral communication skills. At the same time, they study the literature, history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries.

Core subjects include:

• Spanish language practice and speech culture;
• translation theory and practice;
• Spanish literature and analysis of literary texts;
• foundations of Spanish linguistics;
• teaching methodology and the basics of pedagogy.

Students also develop skills in using computer technologies and preparing academic papers.

Who will graduate

Graduates of this program can work as philologists, Spanish language teachers, translators or linguists. They may hold the following positions:

Where graduates can work
