What is taught in this programme

The Life Safety programme trains students to protect people, society and the environment from various hazards, including technogenic, natural and ecological risks. Alongside the basics of mathematics, physics and chemistry, students study occupational safety, fire safety, civil protection, actions in emergency situations, risk assessment and environmental monitoring.

In practical classes, students learn to check compliance with safety requirements, identify hazardous factors, provide first aid and prepare safety documentation. Many universities offer laboratory and training sessions, as well as practical visits to production enterprises.

Who will the graduate become

Graduates start their careers as life safety specialists. They may work as occupational safety engineers, industrial safety specialists, environmental inspectors, fire safety inspectors, emergency situation specialists or risk assessment analysts.
