What is taught in this field

In the Physical Culture programme, students study the structure and functions of the human body. Core subjects include anatomy, physiology, hygiene, the theory and methodology of physical education, methods of teaching sports, pedagogy and psychology.

Students learn gymnastics, athletics, swimming, sports and movement games, and develop the skills to perform exercises themselves and teach them to others. Practical training and teaching practice are an important part of the programme.

The programme is offered at several higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, including Andijan State Pedagogical Institute, Bukhara State University, Fergana State University and Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.
