What is taught in this field

The Mechatronics and Robotics programme combines mechanics, electronics, control systems and programming. Students learn the basics of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics, and work with microcontrollers and sensors. They also study automatic control theory, industrial robots, hydraulics and pneumatics, and computer-aided design (CAD).

Key skills include reading and preparing technical drawings, designing mechanical and electronic parts together, working with modern programming languages, operating programmable logic controllers (PLC), and testing and tuning systems. Practical classes are held in laboratories and during production internships.
