What is taught in this field

Training in this field is provided at Chirchiq State Pedagogical University. The programme offers in-depth study of the Tajik language and literature. Students learn the phonetics, lexicology and grammar of Tajik, and study the history of Tajik literature and the work of major writers. Core subjects include comparative analysis with the Uzbek language and literature, text analysis, and the theory and practice of translation. As a teacher-training programme, students also study teaching methodology, pedagogy and psychology, and gain classroom experience during teaching practice. Computer literacy and foreign language skills are also developed.
