What is taught in this field

Students in the Pedagogy program study the theory and practice of teaching, upbringing and developing children and adults. The curriculum includes the theory and history of pedagogy, didactics, theory of education, psychology, child development psychology, methods of preschool and primary education, educational technologies and the design of the learning process.

Students gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills by observing lessons, completing teaching practice and conducting classes in educational institutions. Key skills include lesson planning, communication with students, assessment of learning, research work and the use of modern information technologies.

The program is taught at the Andijan, Bukhara, Chirchik, Denov, Fergana, Guliston, Jizzakh and Kattakurgan state pedagogical institutes and universities, as well as at other higher education institutions.

Who will the graduate become

Graduates with a degree in Pedagogy can work as teachers, educators or methodologists in general secondary schools, preschool institutions, and vocational and higher education institutions. They can also work as assistants to educational psychologists, curators, specialists in education centers or staff members of academic departments.
