What is taught in this field

The programme covers the design, construction and operation of buildings, structures, roads, bridges, hydraulic and other facilities. Students learn the basics of mathematics, physics, technical drawing and computer science, along with core subjects such as structural mechanics, building materials, geodesy, hydraulics and soil mechanics. The field is taught at 17 higher education institutions, including Namangan State Technical University, Fergana State Technical University and Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute.

Practical classes develop skills in using modern design software, preparing drawings, calculating construction estimates and organising work processes. Students also gain knowledge of construction technology, environmental requirements and safety rules.

What graduates become

Graduates can work as construction engineers in design departments, on construction sites and in supervision services. Career paths include design engineer, structural engineer, construction inspector, technical supervisor, construction manager and cost estimation specialist.
