Sport activity: academic rowing

What is taught in this program

Students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of academic rowing. Core subjects include sports theory and methodology, sports anatomy and physiology, sports hygiene, monitoring the functional state of athletes, sports psychology and pedagogy.

In practical classes, students master rowing technique, correct seating and movement in the boat, oar control, start and finish technique, and exercises for developing physical fitness, strength and endurance. They also build skills in planning training sessions, analyzing the training process and preparing athletes for competitions.

The program is delivered at the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sport and its Nukus branch.
