Sports Activity: Para Cycling

What is taught in this field

This programme trains future specialists in para-cycling, preparing athletes with disabilities for cycling sport. Students master the basics of sports anatomy, physiology and sports hygiene. The curriculum also includes theory and methodology of physical education, sport psychology, fundamentals of sports medicine and pedagogy.

Practical classes cover bicycle handling technique, development of speed and endurance, race tactics and special physical training exercises. Students also learn adapted physical education methods that take different health limitations into account. As a result, they gain skills in planning training sessions, monitoring athletes' condition and preparing them for competitions.
