What is taught in this program

Alongside practical training in snowboarding technique and tactics, the program teaches the foundations of sports theory. Core subjects include sports anatomy and physiology, the theory of physical education, sports hygiene, training methodology and sports psychology.

Students get to know the main snowboarding disciplines: freestyle, freeride and slalom. They also learn to move safely on snow and ice, to fall correctly and to protect themselves, and acquire basic first aid skills. General physical training and exercises that develop balance, coordination and endurance are an integral part of the classes.

What graduates become

Graduates can work as snowboarding coaches, training instructors or physical education teachers. Positions as sports referees, sports event organizers or sports team managers are also possible.
