What is taught in this programme

Students in this programme acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of volleyball as a sport. The curriculum covers core subjects in physical education and sport, along with volleyball technique and tactics.

This programme is taught at 20 higher education institutions, for example: Andijan State University; Bukhara State University; Chirchiq State Pedagogical University; Fergana State University; Guliston State University; Jizzakh State Pedagogical University; Namangan State University; Navoi State University.

• volleyball technique: passing, receiving, attacking, blocking and other elements;
• game tactics and the basics of teamwork;
• sports anatomy, physiology and hygiene;
• theory and methodology of sports training;
• sports medicine and injury prevention;
• pedagogy, psychology and teaching methodology;
• working with young athletes and planning training sessions;
• refereeing rules and organising competitions.

Practical classes take place in sports halls and on playing fields, where students gradually improve their physical fitness.
