Sport activity: ice hockey

What is taught in this program

Students in this program gain theoretical and practical knowledge of ice hockey. The main focus is on mastering hockey technique and tactics: skating, passing, shooting, defensive and offensive actions, and organizing team play. Students also study the basics of physical training, sports anatomy, physiology, hygiene and sports medicine. With the help of pedagogy and psychology, they learn methods of working with young athletes.

Students learn to plan training sessions, analyze games and organize competitions. Practical classes are held on the ice rink and in indoor gyms.

What graduates become

Graduates can work in sports and education in the following professions and positions: hockey coach, coach-teacher, physical education teacher, sports instructor, hockey referee, assistant team coach, or sports manager.

In Uzbekistan, graduates can work in children's and youth sports schools, hockey clubs, sports complexes, general secondary schools and colleges, as well as in sports federations and organizations. Organizing competitions and managing sports events are also among their fields of work.
