Vocal Arts: Pop Singing

What is taught in this field

The programme focuses on the nature of the voice, correct breath support and sound production, and the skill of performing pop songs. Students study solfeggio, music theory, harmony and rhythm, and develop their musical ear.

Alongside vocal lessons, students learn stage speech, movement on stage, stage culture and microphone techniques. Ensemble and group performance, analysis of pop repertoire in different styles, and preparing a concert programme are also important parts of the course.
