What is taught in this program

Students of the Korean Language program study Korean from the basics and develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Core subjects include practical Korean grammar, phonetics (pronunciation), lexicology, work with the writing system hangul, as well as the history of Korean literature and analysis of contemporary texts.

The curriculum also includes fundamentals of linguistics, translation theory, speech culture and communication practice. Students learn about Korean culture, traditions and society. Practical classes, essays and oral presentations make the learning process practice-oriented.

Who will the graduate become

Graduates receive a qualification as a philologist-translator, teacher or researcher of Korean language and literature.
