What is taught in this field

The Road Engineering program provides knowledge on designing, constructing, repairing and operating highways, bridges, tunnels and other transport structures. In the first years students study core subjects such as mathematics, physics, technical drawing, mechanics and strength of materials.

In later stages they study road construction materials, soil mechanics, geodesy, road design, road traffic safety and the organization of traffic flows. Students learn to work with AutoCAD and other engineering software and also learn how to prepare construction cost estimates and plan works.
