According to the draft law "On the State Budget" developed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025, more than 195 trillion 763 billion soums will be allocated for the general education system in the country. Among these funds, great attention is paid to the field of education, the main directions of which are:

According to the draft budget for 2025:

• Ministry of Preschool and School Education - 59.5 trillion soums;
• Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation - 6.6 trillion soums.

    Directions of funds allocated for preschool and school education.

The funds allocated to the education sector are planned to be used in the following areas:

• Development programs - 6 trillion 631 billion 679 million soums;
• 1 trillion 300 billion soums for textbook updates;
• 250 billion soums - for the formation of the Fund to promote reforms in the field of education;
• 120 billion soums for the formation of the Ministry's own fund;
• 200 billion soums for updating computer classes;
• Provision of sports equipment - 62 billion 79 million soums;
• 250 billion soums for attracting foreign teachers;
• Provision of national musical instruments - 50 billion soums;
• 50 billion soums - for the purchase of tablets for schools;
• 500 billion soums - for the organization of clubs for children in the register of poor families;
• Subsidies to preschool educational organizations based on public-private partnerships - 3 trillion 809 billion 600 million soums;
• Capital investments, including for design and construction works - 4 trillion 10 billion soums.

Comparison with 2024

  In 2024, the following amount of funds was allocated to the education sector:

• Ministry of Preschool and School Education - 46 trillion 647 billion 414.5 million soums;
• Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation - 6 trillion 130 billion 330 million soums.

   In comparison, in 2025, the funds allocated to the education sector increased by more than 11 trillion soums, which creates broad opportunities for further development of the education system.

   It is known that in 2024, about 47 trillion soums were allocated to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education. At the same time, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education ranks second among other ministries and departments in terms of allocating funds from the state budget. (The Ministry of Economy and Finance comes first - 92 trillion).
