Basic information:

1. Starting from January 1, 2025: According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 867 dated December 20, 2024, preschool and school education workers are required to complete professional development courses lasting at least 100 hours (for teachers) or 144 hours (for managers) every 5 years.
2. Exception: Letter of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education No. 03-33-3453 dated November 22, 2024, Appendix 2, paragraph 11 states that teachers who carry out their work in conjunction with study at a higher educational institution are not involved in professional development.

Summary:

   If an elementary school student works as a schoolteacher, they will not participate in professional development programs because they are studying in higher education.
