The Ministry of Higher Education once again reminds about this.
By law (PF-81, 24.05.2024). Starting from the admission of the 2025/2026 academic year, admission to the areas of education where foreign language is defined as the first subject in the complex of subjects is carried out on the basis of a national or international certificate that determines the level of foreign language proficiency.
❗️In this case, when admission to educational programs where foreign language is defined as the first subject in the complex of subjects, a test is not conducted on this subject. Applicants must present a certificate of the established level.
The list of educational areas of higher educational institutions of the republic for the 2025/2026 academic year and the list of educational areas where foreign language is defined as the first subject according to the set of subjects for which the corresponding test (professional (creative) exam) is given in the figure above.
❗️️Please note: English, German and French, clearly indicated as the 1st subject, are required to provide one of the national and international certificates that determine the level of proficiency in foreign languages, approved for the 1st subject "Foreign Language" educational areas of undergraduate education.
❓What does this mean?
For example, if the first subject is written as "English," then a certificate of English is required. Those who have a German or Turkish language certificate cannot apply for this course.
However, if the 1st subject is indicated as a "foreign language," it does not matter which language it has a certificate from. A certified certificate from any language will pass.
