News 26/11/2024 In what cases can a doctoral student take academic leave?

According to the Regulation on the provision of academic leave, students have the right to receive academic leave at their discretion, regardless of the form of education they are studying. For academic leave, the student must apply to the rector (director) of the university.

Academic leave can be granted in the following cases:

- for military service;

- to restore health;

- for pregnancy and childbirth;

- for childcare;

- for the care of a sick family member (father, mother or persons replacing them, spouse, child).

 Academic leave is granted in any part of the academic year for the following periods:

- for military service - for the period of military service established by law;

- for pregnancy and childbirth, as well as childcare - for the period of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as childcare leave established by legislation;

- for restoring health and caring for a sick family member - until the beginning of the semester of the following year, which the student did not fully master

 In this case, one of the specified terms is determined by the rector (director) of the higher educational institution in accordance with the student's application.
