Overview

   KDI School of Public Policy and Management Fall 2025 - Admission to master's programs at the School of Public Policy and Management of the Korea Development Institute has been announced. The Korea Institute for Development is recognized as a leading institution in the field of development studies, development economics, and public policy throughout Korea and the world.

Admission to the following master's programs is open and there are grant opportunities:

  1. Master of Public Policy;
  2. Master of Development Policy;
  3. Master of Public Administration.

Program form of study: full-time. The program includes 4 academic semesters (approximately 1.5 years):

  • 3 semesters (about 1 year) at the KTI school;
  • 4th semester: returns to his homeland for a graduation research project.

During the program, attention will be paid to the following areas:

  • Finance and macroeconomic policy;
  • Trade and industrial policy;
  • Public finance and social policy;
  • Regional development and environmental policy;
  • Sustainable development;
  • International development;
  • Public administration and leadership;
  • Strategic management;
  • Global Governance and Political Economy.

Acceptability terms

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • Must not have Korean citizenship;
  • Candidate must have completed at least 16 years of education (school, college/lyceum + bachelor's degree);
  • It is necessary to have sufficient knowledge of English.

Benefits

   The following grants are available within the Master's programs of the School of Public Policy and Governance at the Korea Institute for Development:

  • Global Ambassador Scholarship (GAS) - full tuition fee and monthly scholarship;
  • Seoul G20 Global Leaders Scholarship - full tuition fee, monthly scholarship, and round-trip airfare.

Submit documents

   To apply for the program, it is necessary to register on the online application portal. The application process for the program will last from 05:00 on February 18, 2025, to 14:00 on March 3, 2025, Uzbekistan time.

Required documents:

  • Information on completion of high school/college/lyceum education: all academic grade sheets, completed subjects, admission and graduation dates, etc.;
  • Online survey. The questionnaire is filled out at the final stage of the application portal.
  • Official certificate/diploma of a bachelor (at least 3 years) from institutions (university, institute) that award a bachelor's degree;
  • Official transcript containing the final (general) CGPA. If the transcript evaluation system does not meet the requirements, additional documentation is required.
  • Complete list of courses received during the years of study;
  • 2 recommendations. Recommendations must contain information about the candidate's work in academic or professional conditions and be uploaded to the portal by the recommending persons;
  • A document confirming the level of English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS-6, TOEIC-750 and others;
  • Document confirming work experience (for those with official work experience): The document must clearly indicate the length of service and position of the candidate and be officially approved by the HRI of the institution;
  • Copy of passport and photo of the candidate;
  • Video (optional). In the video, "What do you do? And how do you think the education at the KTI school will change what you are doing?"

Important: Transcripts (including a translation of a non-English document) must 1) be apostilled or 2) be certified by the Korean Embassy.
