Articles 29/12/2024 From Duo to Popularity

There are many famous writers, musicians and poets who did not get good grades at school, but whose names have gone down in history. Today we'll get to know them in the following article:

   1. Anton Pavlovich Chekhov - dropped out of school at the Gymnasium. There were problems with geography and calculation in elementary school. In the fifth grade, he was given a grade of "2" in Greek. However, this did not prevent him from becoming a great writer.

   2. Winston Churchill had a strong memory. He studied only the subjects that pleased him. Therefore, his overall assimilation was not very good. Winston's father and mother were worried that their children would not get a good education. In 1953, Churchill won the Nobel Prize in Literature. Her competitor in the nomination was Ernest Hemingway.

  3. Many people do not know that Vladimir Mayakovsky only graduated from the 5th grade of the school. Vladimir was bored at the gymnasium. In addition, his family was poor and could not afford to pay for his son's further education.

   4. The inventor Thomas Edison only attended school until the 5th grade. During this time, teachers assess the child's progress and recommend home-based learning for their parents. In their opinion, he was totally incompetent. Thomas was educated by his mother. As a result, Edison amazed the world with his inventions.

  5. Joseph Brodsky studied until the 7th grade. His grades in algebra, physics, chemistry, and foreign languages were "2."

   6. Walter Scott was admitted to Edinburgh College in 1785. After a year of study, all teachers said that the young man did not demonstrate his ability to read. After this thought, Walter left college and pursued his education independently.

   7. Pushkin was one of the students who studied at the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, but did not perform well. Nevertheless, he was fluent in Russian and French. Mathematics was not easy for him.

Often, today's young people are studying not for knowledge, but for evaluation. As can be seen from the examples above. It is not the evaluation that changes fate, but the knowledge acquired in a timely manner.
