A second specialty refers to when a person who has completed a bachelor's (or master's) degree studies for another bachelor's (or master's) degree in a different field.
When applying for a second specialty, it doesn't matter which field you graduated from previously. For example, you can first complete a mathematics program and then apply for a second specialty in biology. There are no restrictions on this.
❔What is the procedure for submitting documents and taking exams?
🖊 The admission process for the second specialty, unlike for first-time applicants, usually takes place in July-August, and documents are submitted online through the my.edu.uz platform.
Required documents:
➖Passport or ID card
➖Diploma information confirming completion of Bachelor's degree
The application is reviewed and accepted by the higher educational institution. The form and procedure of the exam are also determined independently by the university.
❔From which year are students admitted?
➡️ For the second specialty, students are admitted to the correspondence form of education starting from the 2nd year. Due to the fact that some fields of study do not offer correspondence education, it is also possible to be admitted to full-time education.
✅In recent years, due to the small number of applicants for the second specialty, universities have been admitting students based on interviews or without exams. Each year, the available quotas for second specialties are announced, indicating which universities offer different programs.
