Reposts 29/12/2024 Russian experience in organizing advanced engineering schools was studied

In order to study the experience of creating advanced engineering schools in the Russian Federation and to develop new joint projects for their joint organization in related universities of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the leadership of a number of engineering universities returned from a business trip to Moscow.

 

 

During the trip, leading Russian higher education institutions in the field of engineering - N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, D.I. Mendeleev Russian Chemical-Technological University and the National Research Nuclear University "MIFI" were visited, and detailed familiarization excursions were organized for the Uzbek delegation to these universities, and official negotiations were held between the ministries of higher education of the two sides.

In particular, during the visit to the advanced engineering school "System Engineering in the Rocket-Space Sphere," established in 2022 at the N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the directions of its activities, the process of working with industrial partners and the achievements were demonstrated. Scientific and educational laboratories created for advanced engineering schools have been studied.

During the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan was accompanied by Rector M. Gordin, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia A. Omelchuk and responsible employees of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Rector of the N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MGU) M. Gordin emphasized that "the future branch of MGU, which will be established in Uzbekistan, should serve the needs of both countries" and emphasized the importance of ensuring a high level of quality of educational and scientific projects in the branch.

Representatives of Uzbekistan studied projects implemented in the branches of the Russian Chemical-Technological University named after D.I. Mendeleev and the National Research Nuclear University "MIFI" and exchanged views on the possibility of their implementation in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation O. Makhkamov held separate talks with Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation K. Mogilevsky. At the meeting, the parties agreed to further improve the activities of Russian universities in Uzbekistan, in particular, to cooperate in the creation of advanced engineering schools in branches specializing in engineering and technical fields in important areas for the republic's economy, and to attract large industrial partners from Russia to these projects.

During the conversation, the officials also reached an agreement to hold a competition of joint scientific projects in 2025 and thereby co-finance topical scientific projects developed jointly by scientists of the two countries on a competitive basis.
