Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute (JizPI), established in 1992, is a modern higher education institution located in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan. It trains qualified specialists in chemical technology, construction, transport, energy, and other fields. The institute initially began as a Jizzakh branch of Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, later becoming an independent institution. Today, it has evolved into the region's center for engineering education.

History of the Institute

- 1989 - Opened as the Jizzakh branch of Tashkent Polytechnic Institute

- 1990 - Merged with Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction

- 1992 - Began official operation as an independent higher education institution

- 2006 - International cooperation programs were introduced

   Currently, the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute occupies an area of 22,300 m2, which includes a main building with 1,500 seats, a new educational and laboratory building with 1,000 seats, a third building with 1,500 seats, a newly constructed lecture hall with 600 seats, a sports hall, two mini-football fields, a large football field, and tennis and athletics grounds.

   The Institute consists of 7 faculties and 27 departments, offering 33 bachelor's degree programs, 16 master's degree specialties, 16 correspondence education programs, and 4 doctoral specialties. Highly qualified professors and teachers conduct classes, producing competent specialists in their respective fields.

  Today, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute (JPI) has established collaborative relationships with over 200 foreign universities, including institutions in countries such as Russia, Turkey, China, Malaysia, and Poland.  Students and faculty members of the Institute regularly participate in the following international programs:

• - Erasmus+ (European Union);
• - KOICA (Korea);
• - Fulbright (USA);
• - ITEC (India).

   The institute has a 400-bed student dormitory, with recreation rooms and a "Spirituality and Enlightenment" center on each floor. Additionally, there is a 200-seat cafeteria and sports grounds in operation.
