It is one of the primary and prestigious medical universities in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
The history of the university is not very long, as on July 22, 2014, the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on the establishment of the Tashkent State Dental Institute was adopted. The decision was to train qualified, knowledgeable, and capable personnel in dentistry who meet the requirements of global production. This educational institution was established on the basis of the Tashkent Medical Academy and branches of the Tashkent State Dental Institute were established in Andijan, Bukhara and Samarkand regions of Uzbekistan. The management staff of the Tashkent State Dental Institute consists of 35 people.
Currently, the institute employs 186 researchers and 373 professors and teachers.
