According to paragraph 4 of the "Regulation on the Procedure for Certification of Teaching Staff in Preschool, General Secondary, Secondary Specialized, Vocational and Extracurricular Educational Organizations," approved by Appendix 1 to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 572 dated September 17, 2021, mandatory certification is conducted every 5 years.
If you have undergone certification once and failed it, then according to clause 44-1 of the regulation, provided the employer has not terminated the employment contract, a pedagogical staff member holding the position of specialist (teacher with higher education) who failed the subsequent mandatory certification can be involved in extraordinary certification up to three times.
In this case, if a pedagogical staff member fails all three attempts at extraordinary certification or does not participate in the certification without a valid reason (except for long-term incapacity due to illness and performance of state or public duties), their employment contract is terminated due to insufficient qualifications.
According to the above rule, if you failed the mandatory certification, you will need to participate in the extraordinary certification in spring.
