Today, the first Uzbekistan-Malaysia Education Forum on the topic "Opportunities and initiatives in the field of higher education in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals" opened in Tashkent under the anthems of the two countries.

   At the opening ceremony of the forum, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratboy Sharipov and the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia Zambry Abdul Kadir noted that the two countries have established strong cooperation in the field of higher education. The parties also noted the further expansion of contacts between higher education institutions, the development of academic mobility programs, the introduction of joint educational programs and the increase in the scope of scientific research in the future.

   After that, the cultural part of the forum began. The concert program with the participation of Uzbek and Malaysian artists gave the participants a high mood and laid the foundation for a closer acquaintance with the culture of the two countries.

   During the forum, specialists in the field made reports on various topics, and a number of initiatives were put forward to further expand bilateral cooperation.
