On July 1, Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation of plans in the field of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications.

It was noted that over the past five years, the industry's exports have approached $170 million to $1 billion. Internet speed has increased 7 times, and mobile internet - 4.5 times. Last year, $70 million in venture investments were made in startups in the industry.

As a result, Uzbekistan rose 12 positions in the Global Startup Index ranking and entered the TOP-100. Last year, it rose 17 positions in the International Artificial Intelligence Readiness Index and took first place in Central Asia.

Next year, it is planned to increase the digitalization of public services to 70%, and the volume of IT services to 100 trillion soums. The goal is to rise to at least 55th place in the e-government development index. To achieve these indicators, a number of draft documents have been developed.

The head of state emphasized that now it is time to move to the next stage of "Digital Government." It was noted that this should begin, first of all, with the spheres of education, medicine, construction, and utilities, to which the population most often applies.

In accordance with the relevant presidential decree, the Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies until 2030 was adopted. $50 million has been allocated to improve the infrastructure in this area. The task has been set to create a national model of artificial intelligence and train 1 million specialists.

Increasing the volume and export of services in this area is also one of the important tasks, and currently the main part of these indicators falls on the city of Tashkent.

As a result of the conditions and benefits in Uzbekistan, other relocators are also benefiting from coming to our country. In this regard, the importance of creating an attractive environment in each region and attracting foreign companies was emphasized.
