Starting May 15, 2025, a government decree will introduce a procedure for allocating loans to young students to cover travel expenses to and from foreign countries, as well as other costs, for work and travel within the framework of international "Work and Travel" programs.
The loan amount will be 40 times the basic calculation unit (15 million soums), and it will be allocated annually to up to 2,000 young students.
As a result, students will now have the opportunity to work and gain experience during their vacations in Great Britain, the USA, Canada, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and European Union countries.
Additionally, by working 30-40 hours a week, they will be able to earn an average of 3-7 thousand dollars per season.
For information, students aged 16 to 30 (full-time, evening, or distance learning) can participate in the program.
Applications for loans will be accepted through the State Services Center or my.gov.uz.
The student is obligated to repay the allocated loan within 1 month after returning from the foreign country.
