The education system in Uzbekistan is reaching a new stage of development. At the center of these changes stands the International Nordic University (INU) - a large private educational cluster based not only on modern principles but also on the advanced educational achievements of Northern Europe, especially Finland. It operates on the basis of a unique innovative model, encompassing all stages from preschool to higher education.

Foundational history and international cooperation

The International Nordic University commenced its operations based on license No. 034528 issued by the State Inspectorate for Education Quality Control under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the political consultative meeting between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Finland, held in Tashkent on May 27, 2022, significant agreements were reached regarding the implementation of new educational projects. Three months later, on September 8, 2022, the official inauguration of the International Nordic University took place.

Currently, two main faculties are operating at the university: the Faculty of Economics and Pedagogy and the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The educational programs have been developed based on modern requirements and labor market needs.

The university has also established a system of financial support for talented students. Each year, up to 5 of the most knowledgeable students have the opportunity to receive an XNU grant. Additionally, students from socially vulnerable families who demonstrate high academic performance are offered a 50% discount on their tuition fees.

Strategic partnership - exchange of knowledge and technology

The main strategic partner of XNU is the Karelia University of Applied Sciences in Finland. Educational programs, methodology, management system, and staff development - all of these are based on the experience of Karelia UAS. Studies at XNU are conducted through joint programs such as 2+2 and 3+1, meaning a student can complete part of their studies in Uzbekistan and the remainder in Finland.
