What is studied in this programme

Social Work students learn the theory and practice of providing social support to individuals, families and communities. The curriculum includes sociology, psychology, pedagogy, basics of law, social policy and the social protection system.

Practical skills are a key focus: identifying problem situations, planning the stages of social work, conducting interviews, providing counselling and cooperating with different organisations. During practical training, students gain experience working in real institutions.

What graduates become

Graduates may work as social workers, social work specialists, social rehabilitation specialists, counsellors for families and children, or coordinators of social partnership. Job titles may vary depending on the type of organisation and the specific workplace.
