What is taught in this field

In the Human Resource Management program, students study how organizations select, hire, train and evaluate their people. Core subjects include fundamentals of management, labor economics, labor law, psychology, personnel record keeping and personnel administration. Students also acquire basics of statistics and information technologies.

Theory is combined with practice: through case studies, group projects and internships, students develop communication, teamwork, situational analysis and decision-making skills.

Who will the graduate become

Graduates can work as HR department specialists, HR specialists, recruitment managers, personnel administration inspectors or specialists in personnel policy. Later they can advance to positions such as HR manager or head of a training and development department.

Human resource specialists are needed in state institutions, the banking and financial sector, manufacturing enterprises, trade and service companies, and education and healthcare institutions. In Uzbekistan, as private business grows, demand for qualified HR staff is increasing. Graduates can also work in recruitment agencies and consulting companies.
