Higher Nursing

What is taught in this program

Students in the Higher Nursing program study core medical subjects such as human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pharmacology and pathology. At the same time, they develop practical skills in basic patient care, safe medication administration, first aid and sanitary and hygiene standards.

Clinical practice plays an important role in the studies: students work with real patients in medical institutions, carry out doctors' instructions and learn to keep medical records. Communication skills receive special attention, including how to speak warmly and clearly with patients and their family members.

Who the graduate becomes

A graduate works as a nurse with higher education. Their main duties include monitoring patients' condition, carrying out doctors' orders and ensuring quality care and treatment.

Graduates can work as ward nurses, senior nurses or patient care specialists. They may also work as teachers or research staff in medical educational institutions.

Graduates can work in state and private medical institutions across Uzbekistan: multidisciplinary hospitals, polyclinics, women's consultation centers, children's hospitals, emergency medical services and rural medical points.

They can also find their place in sanatorium and preventive care facilities, medical insurance and health system management organizations, and scientific research institutes.
