Messages circulated on social networks under the heading "Those temporarily registered in the city of Tashkent are not being admitted to school." The press secretary of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, Dilfuza Sobirova, commented on this.
As you know, we reported that the process of admitting children to the 1st grade of general education schools began on June 20 of this year.
According to the administrative regulations, the admission process is carried out in 2 stages (from June 20 to August 1 within the assigned microdistrict, from August 1 to August 15 outside the microdistrict).
Currently, electronic platforms for admission to the 1st grade are integrated into the "Register of Addresses" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the relevant electronic systems of the Ministry of Justice, and on this basis, children of citizens permanently residing in the microdistrict assigned to the school are being admitted to school.
Also, the main purpose of this is to ensure the priority admission of students to schools at their place of residence for safe school attendance, to ensure the safety of children when attending schools in other regions, and to prevent traffic jams.
Starting August 1, children of citizens, including those temporarily registered, will be admitted to school within the framework of admission outside the microdistrict.
Dear parents!
There are no restrictions on the admission of children of citizens on temporary registration to school.
In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Law "On Education," the right of every child who has reached school age to education is guaranteed, and no child will be left without education - without being placed in school.
Based on these legal requirements, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education is equally responsible and interested in ensuring children's access to education and attending school.
We ask parents to enroll their children in schools at their place of permanent residence by July 31 of this year, and we remind you that from August 1, there is an opportunity to enroll them in schools outside the microdistrict," the statement said.
For reference: in the current academic year, it is planned to admit 738 thousand children to the first grade. To date, more than 512 thousand children have been admitted to the 1st grade of general education schools.
