The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Program for the Implementation of the "Uzbekistan - 2030" Strategy in the "Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy" has been published.

   According to the document, the Central Asian University for the Study of Environment and Climate Change has been designated as the leading higher education institution in such areas and specialties as ecology, environmental protection, and climate change. The practice of training personnel in the field of "circular economy" will be established at the university.

    "Green technical schools" will be established in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and the city of Tashkent, which will be attached to the Central Asian University for the Study of the Environment and Climate Change.

    The subject "Environmental Protection and Green Development" and curricula will be introduced in state higher educational institutions in the fields of natural sciences, engineering and technical, economics, and finance.

  By gradually increasing the number of grant places in higher education, the state order in such areas as exact and natural sciences, engineering and technology, services, and medicine will reach 25 thousand.

   The "El-yurt umidi" Foundation will allocate up to 20 quotas for the selection of scholarships for education based on educational programs on ecology, environmental protection, and climate change.

   In each district (city) of the republic, the activities of at least one general education school that meets the requirements of inclusive education will be gradually organized.

   Within the framework of the "From Poverty to Prosperity" program, work will be organized to train children from 3.5 thousand low-income families and admit them to higher educational institutions on a grant basis in the prescribed manner.
