On April 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with a presentation on improving the quality of school education and enhancing the teacher training system.

In the "Uzbekistan - 2030" Strategy, reforms in the education system are defined as one of the priority areas. This year's state program also sets numerous tasks for improving conditions in schools and educating the younger generation to be knowledgeable.

This largely depends on the knowledge and skills of teachers. In our country, there are 15 state and 61 non-state universities with pedagogical programs. However, their scientific potential is only about 40 percent.

The majority of admissions are in social fields. The training of teachers in exact and natural sciences is very limited. 40% of students are enrolled in distance learning programs.
