At the meeting chaired by the President, dedicated to the discussion of work in the field of social protection and priority tasks for 2025, the President instructed to open rehabilitation departments in 7 medical universities.

In particular, it was criticized that in 33 districts of the republic, the coverage of rehabilitation of people with disabilities does not reach even 1 percent.

In this regard, it was indicated that the responsible persons for the sphere should make a radical change in rehabilitation in the next year.

For this purpose, rehabilitation services will be established in each regional and district hospital. In 12 disability rehabilitation centers, the coverage of ergotherapy, physiotherapy, and therapeutic and gymnastic services will be increased fivefold.

Rehabilitation departments will be opened in 7 medical universities, and the teaching staff will be retrained based on the Korean experience. Experts from Korea and Japan will be brought to the Republican Rehabilitation Center and local specialists will be trained.
