The district (city) stage of the main olympiad gives students another chance to test their knowledge. Some 50,000 students across Uzbekistan have registered for this stage. The process will continue until October 27.

Which subjects are included?

The olympiad is held in two groups of subjects:

• Group 1: physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer science and information technologies. The test lasts 1 hour 30 minutes.
• Group 2: history, geography, fundamentals of state and law, Uzbek language and literature, as well as Uzbek, Karakalpak, Russian, English, German, French, Tajik and Kazakh languages. The test lasts 1 hour.

How are winners chosen?

Based on test results, three winners are selected in each subject. They receive a referral to take part in the regional stage of the olympiad.

Tasks in history, fundamentals of state and law, and geography are offered in Uzbek or Russian, depending on the language of instruction of the participant. Other Group 2 subjects are not translated.

What can participants bring?

Participants may enter the examination room only with an identity document, a special certificate from their school, and a pen.

Phones, cheat sheets, scientific calculators and gadgets are strictly prohibited.

The olympiad gives students a chance to check their knowledge independently and opens the way to the next level. It is useful for parents and teachers to explain the required documents and rules to children in advance.
