Under a regulation approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on September 17, 2021, No. 572, teachers who have the right to keep their qualification category for life are not subject to the regular mandatory attestation. However, they may voluntarily take an out-of-schedule attestation to seek a higher category or an allowance.

The key rule

Under clause 44 of the regulation, a teacher who does not score enough points in an out-of-schedule attestation does not have their qualification category reduced. Their current category and the salary linked to it are preserved.

In other words, not meeting the expected result in an optional test does not cause a teacher to lose their previous qualification category. This matters for teachers aiming for an allowance or a higher category.
