The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution dated May 5, 2025, "On Additional Measures for Financing Expenses Related to Comprehensive Support and Provision of Social Assistance to Orphans and Children Deprived of Parental Care."
The resolution addresses issues of increasing the effectiveness of social support measures for orphans, children left without parental care, and children from socially vulnerable families.
According to the decree, young people aged 14-23 in need of social protection will be reimbursed once for the costs of preparing for admission to higher educational institutions. In this case, monthly assistance is provided for each course (up to 5 subjects). The duration of this assistance is 12 months. That is, students will be provided with assistance in the amount specified in the regulations for each subject they are studying during the 12-month preparatory period.
Social assistance is paid in the following amounts for each course (up to 5), broken down by region:

Young people who receive assistance must regularly attend preparatory courses for admission to higher educational institutions. It is also required to obtain a certificate of the established form, issued upon completion of preparatory courses for admission (if such a certificate is provided).
To receive this assistance, applicants must submit a contract with a non-state educational organization.
Important! This assistance, as an exception, may also be provided to children from families included in the Register of Poor Families, for whom a guardian has been appointed due to their parents' temporary departure abroad for a period of more than three months.
