Why are we choosing a direction when submitting documents? Can't we choose a different direction after the test?
Many such questions were asked last year, and they are repeated this year.
When registering on the UzBMB website, click "select a set of subjects," and you will receive a list of fields. That's why many people are mistakenly thinking "we are choosing a direction."
In fact, since last year, at the first stage, not a field of study is chosen, but simply a set of subjects. That is, you only determine which subject you will take the exam in. After completing all the tests, you will choose five directions that correspond to those subjects. In this case, there are no restrictions on the choice of direction, the main thing is that it corresponds to the set of disciplines.
❓Then why is the route showing up when registering?
I raised this issue last year as well.
Perhaps the agency did this so that it would be easier for applicants to choose subjects and make it easier for them to navigate.
In reality, it was necessary to do something different, not technically misleading. That is, when registering, applicants had to first choose the first subject, then the second, and only the names of the existing subjects should appear in the list.
After selecting the subjects, it would be advisable to provide a complete list of areas corresponding to these subjects below. Then the applicant would have a complete picture. The current method is truly misleading.
In addition, during registration, there should also be an opportunity to easily check which subject complex corresponds to which direction. For this, of course, it is not necessary to go to Telegram channels and download some file.
Last year, we had good assumptions that urgent changes might not have happened in time, but nothing has changed this year either. The agency had time for a year to devise a more convenient and understandable algorithm.
!!️CONCLUSION: when registering, the direction you choose has no significance. Now the main thing is to look at the set of subjects. After the completion of the test, you will be able to choose any direction. You even have the right not to choose the direction you chose when registering.
For example, in the image above, I chose the "Accounting" direction, and mathematics and foreign language subjects emerged. After the test, I will choose five areas corresponding to mathematics-foreign language, without having to choose specifically accounting.
