Donald Trump expressed interest in issuing green cards to international students who have graduated from US universities.

Speaking on Thursday's The All-In Podcast, Trump:

"I want to promote the idea that once you graduate from college, I think you should automatically get a 'green card' as part of your diploma to stay in this country".

   This move applies not only to four-year university graduates, Trump said.

"This includes small colleges. Everyone lives there for two or four years to graduate from college. If you graduate from college or get a doctorate, you have to stay in this country".

   Trump expressed dissatisfaction with some U.S. graduates leaving the country to start businesses in China or India because they couldn't obtain a residence visa.

"Many people are needed to run companies, and they need to be smart people... You need great people, and we are in favor of keeping great people in the country. You must hire them and keep the rest".
